John Sommers-Flanagan, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist and associate professor of counselor education at the University of Montana. He served as executive director of Families First Parenting Programs from 1995 to 2003. John specializes in working with children, parents, and families. He is author or coauthor of over 40 publications, including: Tough Kids, Cool Counseling (2nd Ed., ACA, 2007), Problem Child or Quirky Kid (Free Spirit, 2002), Clinical Interviewing (4th Ed., Wiley, 2009), and The Last Best Divorce Workbook (Families First, 2006). John is widely sought as a keynote speaker and professional workshop presenter throughout the United States.
